Why is the use of Emmi®-pet in addition to professional scaling at the vet recommended? And how often should Emmi®-pet be used (daily, weekly, monthly)?
  • Regular use of Emmi®-pet prevents new tartar infestation. Thus, painful inflammations of gums are reduced and existing inflammations heal through the regular use of the ultrasonic toothbrush. Gums are strengthened and stay healthy.

  • The recommended frequency of using Emmi®-pet depends on the condition of the dog's gums and teeth. For daily use, focus should be on cleaning the fangs that are more prone very quick tartar formation. For a weekly treatment, I recommend cleaning all teeth.

Should emmi®-pet be used as a prophylaxis on a daily basis, or can even existing tartar be removed with the ultrasonic toothbrush?
  • The ultrasonic brush can be used daily without further ado, but it does not have to. Because ultimately, it will depend of your own dog and the condition of the teeth. As a general rule, smaller breeds are much more susceptible to tartar formation than larger specimens.

  • With emmi®-pet even existing tartar build up can be easily removed. Of course, the lower the tartar infestation, the easier and faster the it can be removed. Therefore, I advocate using the ultrasonic brush as a prophylaxis and not only when the teeth are already rotten.

Which diseases can be prevented by the regular use of the ultrasonic toothbrush?
  • With regular use, gingivitis can be prevented and tartar formation can be prevented. The ultrasonic toothbrush strengthens the gums and thus ensures healthy teeth.

What experiences have you had so far with emmi®-pet?
  • I have only had the best experience with the ultrasonic toothbrush and I recommend it to a large number of my customers over and over again. In my practice I use emmi®-pet on a regular basis, even if I have to put dogs under anesthesia because of strong gingivitis, the ultrasonic toothbrush is often the method of my choice.

  • Because unlike conventional instruments, tartar build up can be removed easily and quickly with emmi®-pet. The ultrasound kills the bacteria, which can lead to painful inflammation and inflamed gums quickly regenerated by the use of gentle ultrasound. For me, there is no gentler and more effective method than the ultrasonic toothbrush.

  • That's why I like offer emmi®-pet to dog owners often sparing their four-pawed partner from unnecessary anesthesia. I, myself am now using the ultrasonic brush for humans and am thrilled. And what is doing good for myself, can only be the best for my four-legged friend.

For which dogs is the ultrasonic toothbrush by emmi®-pet suitable?
  • The ultrasonic toothbrush is suitable for dogs of all ages and races. There are no restrictions.

From which dog age on can I use emmi®-pet?
  • There is nothing wrong with using emmi®-pet immediately after permanent teeth set in. Rather, it brings benefits: the dog will be used to the application at a young age and tartar build up is slowed down, in some cases even avoided.

Does emmi®-pet harm the tooth structure of my dog?
  • No. The gentle ultrasound cleans the dog's teeth very gently and does not attack the dog's tooth structure.

How do I get my dog to accept cleaning with emmi®-pet?
  • Dogs react very differently to the application of the silent and vibration-free ultrasonic toothbrush. The habit of direct conditioning with positive incentives such as dog treats usually shows quick successes. By doing so, dog owners will teach their pet in small steps and with much praise to keep still while their teeth are cleaned with emmi®-pet.

Should emmi®-pet be used as a prophylaxis on a daily basis, or can even existing tartar be removed with the ultrasonic toothbrush?
  • I already recommend the use of the device as a prophylaxis to reduce the formation of dental plaque and to keep the dog's bite healthy.
